Difference maker

John Chiles was a dominant performer as a junior for the Mansfield Summit Jaguars. Chiles flashed his elite talent all over the field for head coach Kyle Geller catching passes, throwing passes and running the ball for the playoff team.

Chiles totaled 491 yards rushing (50 carries), 694 yards receiving (26 catches) and 231 yards passing (17-of-37) as a junior. Those totals include 17 touchdowns, including two scores of 80 yards or more in the Jaguars' playoff loss to El Paso Franklin.

With Chiles' junior season behind him, a move to quarterback full time is the next challenge for the 6-foot-1, 197-pound speedster. Mansfield Summit head coach Kyle Geller says the change is going well for Chiles and the Jaguars.
