Tuberville, Nall visit Georgia tight end

Although nearly 500 prospects showed up for the NIKE Camp in Athens, Ga., this past weekend, it wasn't hard to pick Columbus, Ga., Shaw tight end Bruce Figgins out of the crowd.


The chiseled 6-foot-4, 246-pounder at times looked like a man among boys.


Figgins, who already holds offers from Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, Clemson and Mississippi State among others, posted a personal-best 4.78 40-yard dash and was very impressive in drills.


"I did pretty good. I put up some pretty good numbers," said Figgins. "I was happy about my 40-time. There's room for improvement, but it wasn't too bad. I got a chance to compete."


While Figgins had numerous college coaches keeping an eye on him in Athens, a handful of them had already stopped by his high school in southwest Georgia. Among the group was Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville and recruiting coach Hugh Nall.
