Hales Guard Developing Game
With tall guards a premium in college basketball, a fair share of college coaches are likely to be seen at Hales Franciscan in Chicago over the next two years, as the high school is the home of six-foot-five sophomore guard Matthew Humphrey.
Humphrey saw some time on the Hales Franciscan team as a freshman, but he really began to make a name for himself this past season as a sophomore, playing along side future Cal guard Jerome Randle and future Nevada center Javale McGee.
Currently, programs such as Illinois, Iowa, DePaul, Georgia, Bradley, Missouri and Northern Iowa have all expressed interest in Humphrey.
