QB coming to OU for the second time

It's been five years since perhaps the greatest recruiting secret in the last 10 years of Oklahoma recruiting was revealed. That's the day that word leaked out that Kelvin Chaisson was not only committed to Oklahoma, but had been committed for quite some time.

Fast forward five years later, and the secret is out on Kelvin's cousin, Joe Chaisson. However the elder Chaisson is wasting little time convincing the 6-foot-2, 175-pound quarterback prospect where he should be.

"Kelvin is my first cousin; he's been trying to recruit me for a while. He's told me great things about Oklahoma," Chaisson said. "I went up there last weekend for the first time and really enjoyed myself. He had told me all these great things and I saw what he was talking about when I was there.

"Actually I'm going back down there this weekend for the Red-White game with Kelvin."

What had the elder Chaisson been telling his cousin about the program?

"Just a collection of things, I really noticed how the campus is compact and how close everything is together. Also the team just seems to be close with one another," he said.

So far Oklahoma hasn't extended an offer to the talented Beaumont (Texas) Westbrook dual-threat quarterback but they did talk to him about it while he was in town. Either way Chaisson says he isn't too worried about it for the time being.

"(Oklahoma) told me they were very interested, and were really evaluating my film. They showed a lot of interest in me," he said. "I under stand though, I kind of want to take my time with the recruiting process, I don't mind them taking their time."
