Townsend Sees Major Upside in Young Corners

Learning on the fly was not something that Mississippi State could exactly help this season. There is no other area that has seen this more than at cornerback where MSU returned just two players that had significant playing time a year ago, neither of which started ball games. Add a first-time coordinator and things are usually pretty dicey. For MSU, the blow was softened when that first-year coordinator was a former All-Pro cornerback in the NFL when Deshea Townsend took the job earlier this year.
