Harris is back healthy
McAdory (Ala.) High School enjoyed a memorable season last fall going 15-0 before falling in the Class 5A State Championship game.
And all Dezmond Harris could do was watch.
The Yellow Jackets quarterback missed the entire 2012 season with a torn ACL and had to stand helpless on the sidelines each Friday night.
"It was extremely hard," Harris said about missing his senior campaign. "I have a whole lot of mixed emotions about it."
Harris was cleared to start working out shortly after the season ended and cannot wait to arrive at MSU on June 6 to start preparing for the fall.
"I'm back to 100-percent now," Harris said. "I'm just ready to get back on the field. It's been a long time since I've played and I'm just ready to play period."
The two-star athlete stated that he is up to 215-pounds along his 6-foot-3 frame and is expected to play linebacker for defensive coordinator Geoff Collins at the next level. Harris has spent his spring getting bigger and also regaining strength in his injured knee.
