Mississippi State managed to survive the first week of Southeastern Conference play unscaved.

The Bulldogs are undefeated so far in 2013 beginning with a blowout win against New Orleans. Rick Ray's squad followed up with SEC wins over South Carolina and Georgia last week to battle back to .500 for just the second time all season.

"I'm really pleased with the start we've gotten off to in SEC play," Ray said. "I thought we really turned the corner as a ball club in the win against New Orleans, then win a game against South Carolina and especially to go out on the road at Georgia. I think our team is improving. Depth is obviously still a concern and a problem"

MSU is 7-7 on the year with their last loss being the turning point for their current season long three-game wining streak. The Bulldogs blew a 15-point lead to Alabama A&M and lost 59-57 on Dec. 30.
