Smith learns life lessons at WVU

Senior quarterback Geno Smith fondly recalls making the trek north to Morgantown for a summer football camp in the 10thgrade, not yet realizing that it would become the place he would eventually come to call home and a place that would welcome him with open arms.

"Coach (Damon) Cogdell, my high school football coach was an avid Mountaineer fan and former player. He would always take us up here for camps, it was just fun to be here," he said.

But when it came time for Smith to enter the recruiting process the previous success of West Virginia coupled with an official visit to Morgantown sealed the deal and while he thought he had an idea about the program before, after four-years in Morgantown Smith has absolutely no doubts now.
