Zouzalik back in rotation
Texas had crushed Texas Tech so bad you didn't even have to look up the final 52-20 score.
The Longhorns put up 439 rushing yards and the Red Raiders' depleted defense caved in and would not recover for the rest of the season.
It was arguably the most embarrassing loss of 2011. And inside receiver Austin Zouzalik didn't remember much about it on a quiet ride bus ride from Memorial Stadium to the airport.
Zouzalik suffered a pretty serious concussion against Texas and was limited all the way through spring practice due to it. It allowed some new additions and younger players to supplant the senior on the depth chart.
"It took probably about a month before the headaches went away," Zouzalik said. "I still have headaches every now and then from hits and stuff like that. But yeah, I think I was asking my parents if I scored a touchdown, asking if we had won the game. I guess it was a good thing I didn't know the score because I'd probably be pretty mad about that.
"But I was asking people who were texting me who they were. 'Who is this?' I was asking people who this was and they said, 'that's your sister.' It was crazy stuff like that, but luckily the training staff kept me out for a couple of months and I finally recovered from it. I'm pretty symptom free now."
