Stockstill talking Bulldogs

Since joining the FBS ranks in 1999, Middle Tennessee has never defeated a top 25 opponent.

The Blue Raiders are 0-13 in those contests but have a chance end that streak this weekend traveling to Starkville to take on No. 15 Mississippi State on the road.

"We've got an extremely tough one this week in Mississippi State," said MTSU head coach Rick Stockstill. "We go down there but it's a challenge that we're looking forward to. They're really good. I think they're 12th in the BCS rankings and just a really good football team."

It will be the fifth gridiron meeting between the two schools with the Bulldogs holding all four wins. Stockstill has been on the sidelines for two of those contests losing 31-22 at on the road in 2008 and again in Murfreesboro 27-6 the following year.
