Posey with something to prove

Mississippi State has had several talented receivers attend its camps over the last few days.

Some have offers and others are hoping to catch the coaches' eyes. One wide out who made quite an impression during an individual practice was C.J. Posey.

"I came out here to compete and show that I'm hungry," Posey said. "I wanted to show what I can do in front of the coaches. They have been watching me on film. They've been telling me how much they want me to come out here are to check in."

Posey is making the move to Russellville, Ala., from Kennesaw, Ga., for his senior season and hopes the transition will help his recruitment as well.

"It's starting to slowly pick up," Posey said. "I'm just starting to get some interest from Middle Tennessee, Tennessee-Chattanooga and a little bit from Ole Miss. That first offer would mean an accomplishment. Coming from playing varsity as a freshman at Harrison in Kennesaw, Ga., and slowly building my way up. I just want to let everyone know who I am and what I can do."

The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder made his third appearance at MSU at camp and is on a first name basis with the coaching staff there.
