Offense emerges

With severe weather to the southwest, Oklahoma State moved up their Friday spring practice session in order to get in their final scrimmage before the spring finale next Saturday.

The Oklahoma State offense emerged on Friday, with head coach Mike Gundy declaring the unit to be the day's winners.

"The offense won the scrimmage today," Gundy said. "The defense was dominant last time, but the offense really played well today. The quarterbacks played better. Tracy Moore had a nice scrimmage and made a lot of plays."

Moore moved from inside to outside receiver this spring, taking over Justin Blackmon's spot. That is one of several issues the OSU offense has been dealing with this spring, along with a three-man quarterback race. Gundy had praise for each of his prospects who are trying to replace Brandon Weeden.

With Friday's scrimmage, the Cowboys have now completed 12 of their NCAA-allotted 15 spring practices. They'll go again on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, before wrapping things up with a public session on Saturday, April 21st.
