HM team and BET are on Thompson's mind

March 3, 2012 - This has been a mecurial season for G'Town junior forward Hollis Thompson[d/b], one in which he's experienced highs - once scoring 21 points in a game, 23 times putting up double figures - and lows - twice dropping only four points.

Nevertheless, BIG EAST coaches recognized him on Sunday, as he was named BIG EAST Honorable Mention.

Thursday, at Georgetown's pre-BIG EAST Tournament press conference, Thompson, who is averaging 13 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 45.8% from three point land (47.8% overall), touched upon his Honorable Mention team election. Add living in a personal bubble, woes in the Marquette loss including launching too many jumpers, BIG EAST tourney pressure, development of [db]Henry Sims, importance of Jason Clark, and talking trash to the conversation.
