First Quarter

Kansas State tried to avoid Arkansas' great return men by kicking short, but Ross Rasner returned it 31 yards to the KSU 42-yard line. Arkansas could not get anything going and failed to convert a fourth-and-4 at the KSU 36-yard line. KSU had a 13-yard completion on the first play of their opening drive but stalled at the UA 49-yard line and were forced to punt. Ryan Doerr's punt went 49 yards and out of the back of the end zone. Arkansas took over possession with 12:26 remaining in the opening quarter....
