Jacobs felt welcomed at State
East Mississippi Community College four-star defensive tackle Damien Jacobs has been committed to Tennessee since late July following an official visit to Knoxville.
Since that time the 6-foot-4, 290-pounder has been visiting several other programs to reaffirm his previous decision. Over the weekend he officially visited Mississippi State.
"It went pretty good," Jacobs said. "Everything was setup pretty good and everything was nice. I got to do a little bit of everything. I went to Coach (Dan) Mullen's house and hung out there. I got to go over to the stadium and a bunch of different things."
Jacobs was hosted by defensive linemen Preston Smith and Dwayne Cherrington but was overwhelmed by the hospitality of the coaches and the entire staff and student body he came in contact with.
