Lewis up to three offers

The outstanding spring for Pickerington (Ohio) Central wide receiver Roger Lewis is starting to pay off. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound speedster picked up a verbal offer from Toledo a few weeks ago and on Tuesday he saw his offer list triple in size as Ball State and Central Michigan entered the fray for one of Ohio's fastest rising prospects.

"It feels good, everything is going real good right now," said Lewis of the recent offers.

Lewis is still waiting on his first offer from a BCS conference program but the wait might not be too much longer as numerous schools are showing interest and have been stopping by the school to speak with the coaches.

"Indiana and Kentucky are going to come in (to the school)," he explained. "Cincinnati is supposed to be coming in next week, West Virginia, and just a lot of the Big Ten and MAC schools have been contacting my coach."

Lewis hasn't been able to make it out to as many spring practices as he would like but he did stop by Cincinnati a few weeks ago along with super class of 2013 teammate Taco Charlton. The Bearcats are one of the teams hot on Lewis' trail.

"The only practice I've really been able to get to was at Cincinnati a few weeks ago," Lewis explained. "I talked to coach Mark Elder and I went down with my boy Taco Charlton. "It was a good trip to go see a college practice and go learn. We got to see our boy Patrick White out there doing his thing so it felt good to just go up there and watch the team practice."

Lewis will be one of the many division I prospects at the Columbus Nike Camp on May 21st and he's looking to show what he can do against some of the premier talent in the Midwest.

"They sent me an invitation for that because I got a 99.12 SPARQ rating at one of their SPARQ combines," he said. "I'm very excited. I'm a competitive person so I just want to go out at these events and show my talent."
