Defense dominates day 6

As OSU wrapped up their second week of spring practice, there was no shortage of sun and hard hits in today's scrimmage. A beautiful day inside Reser Stadium gave the Beavs optimal conditions for the first full contact scrimmage of the spring.

Recruits were shuffling up and down the sidelines, taking in practice along with around 150 fans dotting the northwestern grand stands. What they both saw was a mix of hard hits, sloppy plays, interceptions, and all in all, a good first day of full contact.

The practice started as normal, with Coach Read leading his special teams in punt and kickoff drills. Today Trevor Romaine showed why the coaches felt it necessary to recruit a scholarship kicker. He consistently put the ball five yards deep in the end zone. The kid's got a strong leg.
