What comes next for Self, Kansas?
This season, No. 1 ranked Kansas (24-2; 9-2) had visions of capturing its seventh straight Big 12 regular season championship. Coming off an absolute beat down to unranked Kansas State (17-9; 5-6), 84-68, on Monday night, that vision is beginning to fade. The Jayhawks, with five games remaining, trail Texas by two games in the loss column. Having already lost to the Longhorns, who remain unbeaten in conference play, Kansas is no longer in control of its destiny in the Big 12, but there is still plenty to play for. That much was made quite clear late on Monday night.
