Florida Atlantic Preview

Mississippi State will be searching for its fifth 5-0 start to a season under head coach Rick Stansbury tonight when they take on Florida Atlantic at 7 p.m. inside Humphrey Coliseum.

The early season success has not been easy for the Bulldogs as all four of their wins have been decided by 10 points or less.

MSU has never faced the Owls on the hardwood. The Bulldogs are however 69-15 all-time against Sun Belt opponents including last Friday night's 92-83 overtime win over Troy. Florida Atlantic is the only Sun Belt school that State has never faced.

The Bulldogs enter tonight's contest shooting 43.5-percent from the floor and averaging 81.2 points. Mississippi State is also knocking down 40-percent of their 3-point attempts and converting 67.6-percent from the free throw line. They have limited their opponents to 40-percent shooting and 74.5 points per game this season.
