Tulsa Team Report
After seeing the emotion and hyperbole associated with Tulsa's win over Notre Dame last week, it's difficult to imagine that this edition of the Golden Hurricane could do anything to top that achievement.
But the Conference USA title -- or, at least, an appearance in the league championship game -- is still within range.
Tulsa will need some help, but it finishes the season with four straight conference games, three of which are at home. The possibility is there.
"Now it's a single-elimination tournament in Conference USA, and it starts with Rice," Golden Hurricane coach Todd Graham said. "We can't worry about what everyone else is doing. We have to focus on beating Rice and go to the next game. Not one will be an easy win, but I do like that we have three of our final four games at home."
Tulsa's defense still has one glaring hole, as the passing defense is ranked last in the country. But the team has started to generate turnovers, balancing out that problem, if not erasing it.
