Q&A with UF assistant Dan McCarney

Florida defensive line coach Dan McCarney met with the media early Tuesday afternoon and discussed a number of topics. The big news concerned the probable redshirting of defensive linemen Leon Orr and Lynden Trail. The starting nose tackle rotation likely will be Omar Hunter, Brandon Antwine and Dominique Easley. Here's a recap.

How does Justin Trattou look?:
"He's been a warrior. He's been a phenomenal player. He's been a consistent guy. He's made a lot of game-changing plays. He's had a great career already. He's playing better now than at any time that I've been coaching him. That's a strong statement because he's playing a lot of football for us. I'm really proud of him. We moved him to Fox (end), which was the position Jermaine Cunningham played. When you lose a guy like that that provided that many plays and that was a second-round draft pick, you have some big shoes to fill. At practice every day, he seems to be doing a great job of filling those shoes."
