Practice Notebook: Notes & Quotes

A year ago, starting Florida Gators cornerback Janoris Jenkins was arrested and tased after police said he was involved in a fight downtown.

That was then.

This is now.

While speaking to the media Thursday, a more mature Jenkins, a junior considered one of the Southeastern Conference's finest cornerbacks, said he is coaching up the youngsters around him "on and off the field."

"I telll them to stay out of trouble," Jenkins said. "I told them about my mistake so it won't happen to them."
