Inside the Huddle: Black Knights' Injury Update

Injury update:

Starting cornerback Antuan Aaron hamstring has limited his participation in practice, but he is pretty close to full go. He still participates in practice, but has the blue jersey on, which is more for the awareness of the players so that he isn't getting too much contact.

Offensive lineman Jason Johnson (groin) is wearing the blue jersey as well, but has participated in the entire practice

Senior backup linebacker Kingsley Ehie, like Aaron is working through a hamstring injury and is still limited. He practiced yesterday, but did not participate in every drill.

Starting wide receiver Austin Barr may be participating today or at least he is close to being able to. The worst case scenario for the 6-foot-4, 208 pound receiver would be to see him back in practice by the end of the week.

Unfortunately, starting linebacker Andrew Rodriguez's injury hasn't been fully disclosed. There are varying opinions on what exactly the problem is with the two year starter. A-Rod is still getting major treatment and he isn't close to practicing yet.

The Army fans have been holding their collective breaths last season when Captain [db]Stephen Anderson, All-American defensive end Josh McNary and former starting quarterback Chip Bowden all went through season ending surgeries. The trio has worked diligently to get back to form and my all initial indications; they are ahead of the game.

On the defensive side, both Anderson and McNary have been doing every drill in practice.
