Instate SEC battle for Bell
For some prospects recruiting becomes a hassle while for others it is a rewarding experience.
For Callaway (Miss.) three-star offensive guard Justin Bell it has definitely been the latter. The 6-foot-3, 320-pounder has enjoyed the process but still plans to make an early decision.
"Recruiting has been great and it's been fun," Bell said. "It's kind of died down now but while it lasted it was pretty fun getting excused out of class to see a coach. Speaking to the coaches, they always tell you that they like you, like your film and that you've got good feet. They just tell you your good qualities and tell you how they really need you."
Bell has picked up scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Memphis, Ole Miss and Southern Miss but two schools are standing out at the moment.
"The two SEC schools - Ole Miss and State," Bell said when asked his favorites. "I really want to play in the SEC. I've been to both schools. I like the facilities and the feel when I'm there."
Bell got a perfect opportunity to see both programs recently when he attended spring games at both schools along with four-star tackle teammate Aaron Morris.
