Offense Freezes in Loss at No. 14 Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- South Carolina was supposed to be rested after a week-long break from competition, and it was. Far too much. The Gamecocks' lethargic shooting and inability to crack No. 14 Tennessee's defense dug them a first-half pit they couldn't escape on Saturday, leading to a crushing 79-53 loss and a return to .500 in SEC play.
