Taking a look towards spring Part II

The reason that we tackled the offensive line and quarterback position first is because without solid play at these two spots, the running backs and receivers will never get a good rhythm going. Think of when an offense is running efficiently it runs like a smooth running machine and if the offensive line is not in sync, the whole machine falters.

Let's presume that both the offensive line and the quarterback position makes giant leaps this spring, the UCLA fans can expect much improvement out of the wide receiver and the running back position.

The addition of Josh Smith and Ricky Marvray off the scout team will add some grit, not to mention talent to the spot.

On an almost weekly basis, Smith played the opposition's playmaker whether he be a wide receiver or running back on the scout team to prepare the defense for that week's opponent and he made things tough on a pretty good defense.
