Sasser knew it all along
Denton (TX) Ryan wide receiver Bud Sasser stayed true to his word during his entire recruitment.
First, Sasser said he wouldn't let his college decision get in the way of his performance in Ryan's spread offense. Despite two in-season visits, Sasser caught 71 passes for 1,157 yards, bringing his totals over the past two years to 135 catches for 2,407 yards and 47 touchdowns.
Next, the three-star receiver said he would lead his team deep into the playoffs. Ryan advanced to the state quarterfinals before falling to Guyer, and finished the season with a 12-2 record.
Finally, entering his official visit to Missouri this weekend, Sasser said he wasn't sure if he would announce his decision soon after. In fact, he admitted he might take more visits before deciding.
Luckily for Tiger fans, Sasser didn't stay true to his word this weekend. He committed to Missouri on Saturday afternoon, and admitted he wasn't completely upfront with his intentions prior to the visit.
