St. Bonaventure Preview

Mississippi State returns to Humphrey Coliseum against St. Bonaventure at 1 p.m. today sandwiched between three tournaments.

The Bulldogs posted a 1-1 record in the South Padre Island Invitational and will travel to Tampa, Fla., Thursday for the SEC/Big East Challenge and will cross the country to Anaheim, Ca., for the John R. Wooden Classic on two days later.

MSU faced the Bonnies for the first time last year winning on the road 76-71. The Bulldogs are 15-9 all-time against teams from the Atlantic 10 Conference.

State is 4-2 on the year coming off a win over Old Dominion 69-55 in the consolation game of the South Padre Island Invitational last Saturday.

The Bulldogs are averaging 71.5 points and shooting 43.8-percent from the floor this season. Mississippi State has knocked down 38.7-percent from the 3-point line and 71.4-percent from the charity stripe. They have outrebounded their opponents by 8.3 this year and have surrendered 62.3 points on average. The Bulldogs are currently ranked fourth in the country in blocked shots with 48 on the season.
