Skinner shoots straight about his visits
Noxubee County's Deontae Skinner has been committed to Mississippi State since mid-July.
But now that the recruiting process is drawing to a close, the three-star prospect is taking one last look around just to be sure of his decision. Skinner has taken visits to Southern Miss and Ole Miss the past two weekends and will conclude his trips Friday with a short ride to Starkville.
"I'm just having fun with the whole thing," Skinner said. "My visit to Southern (Miss) was great. I had a good time there. I enjoyed being around the coaches and everybody else. My visit to Ole Miss last weekend went very good. I got a chance to see the campus more and get around the coaches and the players and increase my recruiting process. I'm just trying to find out where I need to go."
The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder still has the Bulldogs on top for his signature next week barring any major change of plans.
"Mississippi State is still my top school right now," Skinner said. "Recruiting-wise now it's getting real hard at this point in time because you want to take visits and everything. I'm still committed to State right now but if anything goes on in my mind that I need to change it like I don't need to go there and my home is somewhere else then that's what I will do. But if everything goes the way I think it will this weekend then that's where I will end up."
So just what is Skinner expecting on his visit to Starkville this weekend?
