Auburn commit plans visit to MSU

When Auburn made a coaching change three-star running back LaDarius Perkins remained committed to the Tigers but he did begin looking around.

The first place the speedy back from Greenville, Miss., turned to was Mississippi State. The Bulldogs have now joined Auburn as the leaders for Perkins signature but there could be others.

"It's still down to State and Auburn right now," Perkins said. "But I haven't eliminated anyone yet. Southern Miss might still come into the picture, you never know."

The 5-foot-9, 180-pounder has two visits set this month but could be adding another soon.

"I'm thinking about taking a visit to BYU in the next couple of weeks probably," Perkins said. "I am going to Auburn next weekend on the 16th. The weekend after that is open so I don't know if I will go to BYU then but I'll be going to Mississippi State the last weekend in January which is the 30th."

Perkins said there is one thing in particular he is looking for when he takes these visits.
