Petrino talking Mississippi State
The Arkansas Razorbacks have won four consecutive games and have one of the most explosive offenses in all of college football.
Hogs head coach Bobby Petrino will be looking to extend his winning streak to five on Saturday traveling down to Mississippi State for a key SEC Western Division showdown.
"Our team is excited to go on the road and face a very, very good football team," Petrino said. "We're having a good week of preparation and practice. We know we are going to have to play at our very best to go down there and work hard to get a win."
Arkansas' offense is compiling 491.9 yards per game and lighting the scoreboard up for an average of 37.9 points.
Petrino feels the key matchup in the game will be how his receiving corps fair against the Bulldogs young secondary consisting of one junior, two sophomores and a redshirt freshman.
"Their secondary has done a real nice job of keeping everything in front of them," Petrino said. "They haven't given up a lot of big plays. They mix coverages up on you and do a good job with their disguise. It's a big challenge for us. We've got to do a nice job of executing and making sure we are precise on our routes and making sure the ball is on time because they play the ball very well in the air."
MSU is surrendering only 227.1 yards a contest through the air so far this season.
