Mississippi State men's golfer Chad Ramey was named to the Division I PING All-Southeast Region team Thursday, adding yet another accolade to a historic season for the Bulldogs.
Ramey was one of 18 Southeastern Conference players selected to the region squad.
Ramey excelled during the 2012-13 season for head coach Clay Homan's squad, earning SEC Player of the Week honors as well as being the first Bulldog to garner First Team All-SEC accolades since Alex Rocha in 2000.
The Fulton, Miss., native posted the program's second-lowest season scoring average with a 71.88 clip. Ramey claimed his first tournament title as part of a season that consisted of eight Top 10 finishes and five Top 5 showings.
The announcement of the all-region team was made by the Golf Coaches Association of America, choosing 155 players from the Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West regions.
