Jacobi Moore makes the call, chooses Mississippi State over several others

August has been a busy month for Mississippi State.

After adding two north Mississippi recruits earlier in the week in OL Gabe Cavazos (Lake Cormorant) and CB Brendan Toles (Lafayette) the Bulldogs have now reached down to the coast.

Jacobi Moore, one of the more polarizing prospects in the state, announced his decision to commit to the Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.

Moore received other official offers from Indiana and Southern Miss, but held other early offers from Oregon, Ole Miss, and several others.

He becomes the 16th commit for the Class of 2021, a class that has now added five commits in the last two weeks.

ANALYSIS

Per a source that has spent several years working with Moore:

"Cobi is a vertical receiver. A kid that is legit 6-foot-4, running a 4.4. He has more upside than any WR in the state.

He's got a chance to be a Z wide receiver at the next level, and could also work his way into a back-side X.

He has the prototypical frame, and a college system will do his body wonders. Looking forward to his future, and seeing how he develops."
