Meyer wraps up a wild win

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has been around a lot of games during his coaching career but even he admitted that he hasn't been around one that has as much going on as Saturday's game against Purdue.
The Buckeyes fell behind by two scores, lost their starting quarterback and had zero total yards over the span of the second quarter. None of those bode well for an unbeaten team trying to stay that way.
But Kenny Guiton came off the bench when Braxton Miller got hurt and hit Chris Fields from 2-yards out with :03 left in the game and then found Jeff Heuerman for a two-point conversion to send the game to overtime. Then Guiton hit Jake Stoneburner for a 17 yard gain in OT to set up Carlos Hyde for the go-ahead TD.
Then Ohio State's defense stiffened up, much as it had done most of the way in the game (after allowing a 83 yard touchdown play before fans had even settled down in their seats. When the smoke settled the Buckeyes won the game 29-22 to stay perfect at 8-0 and we talked with an excited head coach in Meyer who had nothing but praise for his team but also was nervous about the status of his starting QB.
