Bill Self received an early Christmas gift when Tyshawn Taylor, who originally signed a Letter-of-Intent with Marquette, ended up at Kansas after he was released when a coaching change took place. Taylor, who hails from Jersey City, N.J., has earned a spot in starting lineup and has been a bright spot for Self and the Jayhawks. On Monday afternoon, Taylor, along with several other players, met with the media and touched on a number of topics, including the play of Sherron Collins. Tyshawn Taylor, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard from Jersey City, N.J., has been a solid contributor for Bill Self and Kansas this season. To date, the former four-star prospect is averaging 10.2 points, 3.7 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.
