Solid combines leading to offers for Glennon
Centreville (Va.) Westfield pro-style quarterback Mike Glennon (6-foot-6, 190 pounds, 4.9 seconds) is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the nation. Coming off impressive showings at both the ELITE Combine and Saturday's NIKE Camp at Penn State, the Westfield signal caller has seen his offer list expand from four to nine, including two traditional football powerhouses. Where does UVa stand now?
"I received an offer from Rutgers on Friday. Over the weekend, I picked up verbal offers from Michigan, Florida State and Purdue," said Glennon.
Glennon talked about the offers from Michigan and Florida State.
"Michigan's quarterbacks coach, Scot Loeffler, verbally offered me and told me that he would get approval from Coach (Lloyd) Carr when he returned to Ann Arbor with my transcripts," said Glennon. "The Florida State offer was mailed last week according to my coach. Offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher spoke to my coach at the NIKE Camp this weekend and asked if I had received the offer yet. He said I had not, so Coach Fisher told him it was on the way."
