Ray's Offensive Plan Worked Well Against Rattlers
Rick Ray saw his plan come to fruition on Tuesday night. The coach has wanted his team to keep the ball in the paint, draw fouls and get to the free throw line. Against Florida A&M, the Bulldogs were in the lane early and often and went on their way to a 78-65 win as the team hit 33-45 shots from the charity stripe for easy points.
"We got into the paint a lot and when you get in the paint you either pass the ball into the paint or you drive the ball to the paint," Head Coach Rick Ray said. "Right now people are playing off of us so we can't pass the ball to the paint. You want to draw fouls because of the way they're calling the game these days so we're really driving the basketball."
