Now That It's Over: South Carolina
Mississippi State had a big opportunity ahead of them yesterday when they traveled to South Carolina. The Bulldogs were in a raucous environment and needed to play a perfect game on offense and defense to have a chance. Five turnovers occurred and USC took advantage of it scoring 24 of their points off of those turnovers on their way to the 34-16 win.
MSU also struggled to do anything at all in the second half once again and have yet to put together a complete four quarters. They fell to 4-4 on the year and 1-3 in the SEC while South Carolina moved closer to getting to the SEC title game needing some help to make it to Atlanta.
Frustrations continued for the Bulldogs and their fans as they shot themselves in the foot in the loss and search for more answers this season trying to make it back to a bowl game. My keys to victory were: Protect the ball, make the defensive line a non-factor and play for four quarters.
