Smith 'even more serious'
MORGANTOWN--When they were in the 9th grade, their parents made sure that now-West Virginia wide receiver Stedman Bailey and quarterback Geno Smith were in church on Sundays and Wednesdays. They had no choice. On Sunday afternoons the Smiths went to "Grand Pa's" ("please don't call the house").
But being in the 9th grade; considering that they attended the same church; and since they had been Optimist football wonders in the Miami area, talk was always focused on pigskin.
