Magro memory inspires Reed
MORGANTOWN--It was in the days leading up to the 2008 Fiesta Bowl that West Virginia's Reed Williams really got his "game on."
Williams, 21, had started every game in what became an 11-2 season for the Mountaineers. He had suffered a left elbow sprain early in preseason practice and was hampered by it for six weeks. Yet against Oklahoma, he collected nine tackles, including seven solo stops, two tackles for a loss, a sack and a forced fumble. He earned Defensive Player of the Game honors.
"I think in the weeks leading up to that game, I finally realized that I could do something with college football," the middle linebacker said Tuesday night.
