Players in full support of Todd
Last year, Auburn was a team divided.
But that was last year. This year, Auburn's coaching staff and senior leaders wanted to make sure there was no dissension when Chris Todd was named the starting quarterback over three other contenders including [d]Kodi Burns[/db].
Burns took the first step shortly after the announcement Thursday afternoon, choosing to switch to the wide receiver position and throwing his full support behind Todd at a team meeting.
"We know it was a fair competition," senior running back Ben Tate said. "And we've seen all of them get their equal fair shots. Everybody could notice that and the coaches just decided to go with the best guy."
Tate and senior cornerback Walter McFadden both said the reaction from their teammates has been all positive.
