Players confident heading into season
Just a year ago, Auburn was riding high as the preseason favorite in the SEC West and eight straight Bowl trips.
A 5-7 season and coaching change has drastically reduced the expectations for AU's 2009 season in the eyes of the media covering this week's SEC Media Days, which voted AU 5th in the West.
But the players, including seniors Antonio Coleman and Tommy Trott certainly haven't lowered their expectations.
In fact, they're pretty confident after seven months working under head coach Gene Chizik and an energetic staff.
"With all the work we've put in with the new coaching staff, the sky's the limit," Coleman said. "The most important thing we lost is swagger and I think we have it back."
Trott said the best way to get that "swagger back" was being a more physical football team.
