Cook makes repeat trips to Norman
Each summer during Oklahoma's camps there is talk surrounding both committed and uncommitted seniors-to-be who put on strong performances, however the storyline that grows each and every year is the emergence of young unknown juniors.
A few years ago it was Ben Habern who showed up to Norman long before he became a nationally coveted offensive line prospect.
In the summer of 2009 it seems that role was handed off to Brey Cook of Springdale (Ark.) Har-Ber.
In ArkansasVarsity.com's initial rankings for the class of 2011 in-state Cook failed to make the list but since then the 6-foot-6, 298-pound offensive tackle has picked up offers from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Auburn. Cook admits the sudden influx of interest is something he is getting used to.
"I got offered from Tulsa just before the Oklahoma camp, but that was when it really started for me," Cook said of the Norman camp. "Actually, we had gone up there a few weeks earlier to meet the coaches and toured the campus so we had a little contact with them before the camp itself."
