This week 6-foot-1, 185-pound Downers Grove South quarterback and Illinois verbal commitment Chandler Whitmer received the news he had been selected to participate in the Elite 11 quarterback camp in California. The camp annually features the nation's top high school signal callers, and Whitmer earned his way onto the roster through impressive performances during the camp circuit this summer and high school games last fall.
