El Cajon (Calif.) Valhalla quarterback Pete Thomas has experienced the good and the bad at USC.

The good was his unofficial visit to campus Saturday, while his performance at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp two weeks ago represented the bad. But Thomas is his own harshest critic, and his performance was a learning experience.
