Mississippi State signs Shumpert

BulldogBlitz.com With Mississippi State losing two fullbacks to graduation made Wednesday's signing of William Shumpert all that much more important.
The 6-foot-0, 238-pounder from Itawamba, Miss., signed a national letter of intent to become a Bulldog.
Shumpert did have some concerns when Dan Mullen was hired as the head coach at MSU and brought in his spread offense. But after speaking with Mullen, the three-star's trepidations were put to rest.
"He said that we were going to run the fullback in our offense," Shumpert said. "But we are also going to run a lot of spread. It made me feel more at ease when I heard that. He also told me that two of his fullbacks went pro. That definitely made me feel good then."
