Pass rusher Pierre-Paul picks USF
Four-star Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has committed to the Bulls.
"He's made his choice USF," Fort Scott head coach Jeff Sims said.
With left defensive end Jarriett Buie graduating, Pierre-Paul figures to have an opportunity to compete immediately for a starting spot. Originally from Deerfield Beach, Pierre-Paul was highly sought because of his athleticism. Despite being 6-6 and 255 pounds, Pierre-Paul can do a complete backflip from a standing position in helmet and shoulder pads, according to Sims.
"People have him rated as the best junior college defensive end. As far as I'm concerned, Jason Pierre-Paul is the best football player in the nation. He's explosive, long and he's the kind of kid that plays better in big games. He's incredibly athletic at his size," Sims said.
Pierre-Paul had made official visits to USF, Arizona, Kansas State and Nebraska.
