Bellamy battling back from blood clot
Evan Bellamy has had 13 months to savor what amounts to the highlight of his Florida State career, while wondering if his start at left guard against Kentucky in the Music City Bowl would end up being his 15 minutes of fame.
A potential life-threatening blood clot in Bellamy's left calf last summer cost the Miami native all of the 2008 football season. Now he's on the mend, back running and in the weight room, hopeful that a late-February examination will clear the way for his full participation in spring practice.
"I feel pretty good," Bellamy said earlier this week. "I'm hoping that this thing is going to be gone out of my leg. It feels good to start running again and be able to work out heavy (in the weight room)."
