Adcock starts the recruiting process
Dallas Christian offensive guard Chris Adcock may play in the relatively small Texas private school ranks, but that hasn't stopped big-time college programs from taking notice of the junior.
One of the schools that is heavily recruiting the 6-foot-3, 290-pound lineman is Texas A&M. This past Saturday, Adcock and his parents made the drive down to College Station for the Aggies' first junior day of the spring.
"It went really well," said Adcock. "I learned a lot more about the program and was really impressed with it."
Adcock says that both he and his parents had a chance to have a lot of questions answered.
"We started out with like a welcome orientation and then we took a tour," he said. "After that, they had a panel with current players where we could ask questions. They answered a lot of stuff. It gave us good insight from a player's point of view.
"Then, the players and the parents split up. The players went to talk to their position coaches and the parents went to talk with coach Sherman. My dad was really impressed with coach Sherman. He was really impressed with the talk he gave and how he was running things down there."
