Perkins talks about his weekend change
Out of the 16 prospects that visited the Mississippi State campus this past weekend, perhaps none of them had as good a time as LaDarius Perkins.
The three-star running back from Greenville, Miss., remained committed to Auburn coming into the weekend visit but left Starkville a Bulldog.
"Everything went well," Perkins said. "I had a real nice time. I got to talk to Coach (Dan) Mullen a lot. It seems like I can trust him about everything. I feel like he is going to turn this program around and get it back on its feet and get it back going and win some games. I think I can help him so that's why I committed. We had some more commitments too so everything was awesome this weekend."
Perkins was one of four commitments MSU pulled in on the weekend along with Chad Bumphis, Dennis Thames and Darius Slay. He committed Saturday evening along with Bumphis and Thames.
"(Bumphis and Thames committing) helped me a little bit," Perkins said. "Those are two good guys too and I know that they can help turn the program around."
Perkins and the rest of the recruits went on a sight-seeing tour around campus checking out the athletic facilities.
